My Prince Charming

Once upon a lonely day
my handsome Prince Charming came riding my way.
He leapt off his horse and onto my toe.
That should have warned me to turn and go.

But I stayed for his romance and all of his charm,
he leaned to kiss me and his horse bit my arm.
He had the most beautiful sky-blue eyes.
If only I had looked deeper, I'd have seen the lies.

He said that his mother was Queen of Swiarm.
How was I to know that was short for "swine farm"?
The ring? Well, he said it was utterly grand!
I admit, I was surprised. It was a cigar band.

After all of this, I married him still.
I don't know why but he gave me a thrill.
He helped me on his horse to give me a ride,
for with his Mother we were to reside.

With the years, pigs and "Mama" the thrill has since gone.
I'm packing my bags, I'll be leaving with dawn.
"You must kiss a lot of frogs to find your Prince",
they say with some retort.
I think I'll stick to frogs.
A crummy pig farmer is worse than a wart!
